CANCELLED

This event has been cancelled this year.

However, we encourage you to celebrate the day by not eating meat and by joining us later the same evening for a smaller gathering.

We invite you to join us at a Vegetarian/Vegan Potluck we are having to celebrate World Vegetarian Day at Barbara Leynor's home.

You can find the information about it on our website--www.vsod.org and in our newsletter.

Saturday, October 18 – World Vegetarian Day Celebration.  VSOD Potluck dinner.  Gather at 5pm.  Dinner at 5:30pm.  Come see and taste Angelina’s (Age 6) K-TEC blender Smoothie Demo.  Bring a vegan dish. Private home in Plano (6717 Ashglen Place)  RSVP Barbara at 972-618-3446.  Directions on back page.  See www.VSOD.org

The Vegetarian Society of Dallas (VSOD) and The Animal Connection of Texas (ACT) regret that we are canceling our celebration for World Vegetarian Day scheduled for October 18, 2003 due to the loss of our reserved location. The Unity Church Center on Lockwood Drive in Richardson lost their lease, and we were unable to secure a new location in time to properly advertise the event.

We are as disappointed as you are. We apologize for any upset this cancellation has caused. Please continue to keep our vision alive. We stand united in promoting vegetarianism and animal rights. Next year we will invite you to participate again and hope you can. In the meanwhile, we will continue to have other events, and we invite you to locate them on our website—www.vsod.org--or through our newsletter and join us

If you have sent us money as a vendor, you should be receiving that soon through the mail.  Thank you again for your support. We are honored by your willing participation and your commitment to making this world a more peaceful and healthier place.

Please join us in creating this event for next year. We are open to any and all suggestions you have. Please feel free to contact Phyllis Hillery, Barbara Leynor or myself. My e-mail address is neal1@ev1.net. Again, thank you for your encouragement and support and let us know if you will make yourself available for next year’s event.
